My Mac Pro does not have an input that accepts the cabel from my iPod Classic - original model. Want to download content so I can put in on my iPhone and iPad. ???

    You need an adapter from FireWire 400 to FireWire 800, and if the computer only has a Thunderbolt port, you need a FireWire to Thunderbolt adapter as well. If the computer has neither a FireWire nor Thunderbolt port, the iPod can't be plugged into it.
