Q: Will Windows work on OS 10.5

I have an eMac 1.42 and I need to run windows software.  Will OS 10.5 run a version of Windows?

Try using the Q emulator or Virtual PC. As you're using a PowerPC Mac, your options are very limited; Boot Camp isn't available.

    Note that Microsoft bought Virtual PC, an emulator to let you run Windows on a Mac, and promptly fropped all Mac contect and used teh name for e Windows-on Windows emulator.

     

    If you want to use Virtual PC, it must be the older version that specifies that it is for Mac.

    You want Connectix Virtual PC for Mac Version 5 which includes Windows XP Home which is the only Windows solution available for your eMac G4:
