iPhone 5 is not detecting the bluetooth of my laptop and neither my laptop is able to detect my iPhone. Why is this so. ? I am using iPhone for the first time but i have used other phones that connect to my windows and i were able to transfer photos and anything. Please tell how to connect iPhone to windows through bluetooth.

you dont connect a iphone to a computer via bluetooth. you have to do so via the USB and iTunes

Then what is the use of bluetooth in iphone. This is very strange of iphone as i used to do this with htc and nokia mobile.

It supports stereo speakers/headsets, handsfree telephone devices, some keyboards, some apps from the app store and internet tethering if provided by the carrier.

BT file transfer is not a feature of the iPhone most likley for stability, security and maybe even legal reasons, i.e. music sharing.

My iPhone 4S used to connect to my PC via bluetooth. I could sync with iTunes and everything. With my iPhone 5, nothing! I have installed Windows Mobile Device Center, but no help. There has to be a way!
Not via bluetooth you couldn't. That's never been supported. You can sync wirelessly via WiFi. Bluetooth sync has never been supported.
I am not able to connect my iPhone5 to the bluetooth of my windows 7 PC. Why is this so.?
