How do I stop Mackeeper installation in progress? Or at least force quit it to restart my computer?

My installation is frozen of Mackeeper and will not let me force quit or shut down or restart. I should not have downloaded it in the first place. Will it damage my computer if I shutdown by holding the button?

OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

As you can't do anything different now, hold the Power button until your computer turns off. Then, turn it on again and uninstall MacKeeper > http://applehelpwriter.com/2011/09/21/how-to-uninstall-mackeeper-malware/ That's waste
