MBP Early 2011 not supporting win8

Hey fellow Apple users,

I wanted to use the new bootcamp 5 to finally get my win 8 installation done right with updated drivers etc., so I already deleted my old partition and tried to install win 8 with bootcamp. But somehow it stops while downloading the drivers for the flash drive and says that I'm just able to run Win 7.

That confuses me a little because my MBP early 2011 should be able to run Win 8. (according to this website: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5628)

Do you guys have any idea how to get this running? I also found this support site: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1638 But there is just Win 7 outlined. Are they also the win 8 drivers?

Best regards,

MrMuetze

Download the Boot Camp drivers from the link you put. Although you see that only Windows 7 is listed, they are drivers compatible for 64-bit Windows 7 and Windows 8, so you can install them in Windows 8 without any problem. Furthermore, Apple released Boot Camp 5 drivers to get Windows 8 compatibility
