Windows 7 x64 Ultimate on a new iMac i7 (2012)

I have a retail version of Win 7 x64 Ultimate on my PC. Using Parallels Desktop software can I transfer a disk image of the PC drive onto the iMac to avoid reloading the entire Windows installation and programs comprising 100Gbs of files. How would I do that and what would I need, apart from an external hard drive? I have little or no Mac experience as yet.

Thank you.

You can use Parallels Desktop to migrate your PC to a Parallels virtual machine. There are different ways, which you can find in this page > http://kb.parallels.com/113307
