Using mail app to open documents in SharePoint.

Dear community,

We have connected Sharepoint 2007 to Microsoft outlook, which enables me to read files/documents in my outlook without first accessing Sharepoint. However THE question is if there are any possibillities to look from your email app on IPad or IPhone in your sharepoint documents without accessing sharepoint.

Let me know if anybody has à solution.

Yours Sincerely.

iPad, iOS 6.1.2

SharePoint 2007 doesn't play well with iOS. You have probably already looked into using Safari and see that it is not a very good solution, particularly is you need to uplaod anything. You might be able to get by if you just need to view or download. iCab Mobile stores documents and will allow uploading if the browser ID is set to a version of IE. It works, but can be a litel cludgy.

There are some apps available in the app store that connect to SharePoint deployments. Some of these will by-pass custom or thirdparty webparts, so you will need to keep that in mind. Others may not work with private deployments or versions of SP prior to Office 365 integration.

Filamente isn't bad, but you may need the full version ($19.99) as opposed to the "lite" version (free) depending on the type of functionality you want. Read the descriptions carefully.
