PCMCIA card , ExpressCard/34 slot and a tube of KY Jelly!

Vodaphone have kindly just given me a 3G/GPRS datacard free of charge 2 weeks after i swapped my 17" pwerbook for a 15" MBP. And even with a whole tube of KY Jelly I just can't make it fit in the little hole! Is there any sort of adaptor that i can use between the two? I dont even mind if it's a cable cos you dont get much for free these days and I dont want to give it back! many thanks

MBP 15", Mac OS X (10.4.6)

I had the G4 with a Verizon Wireless Card and purchased the MBP without even thinking the laptop would come without the Type 2 slot... I'm having the same problem not being able to use this card to access the internet anymore. I have called everyone I know in the Apple company, Staples, CompUSA and Verizon...of which they are all aware of this issue but don't have any answers. The MBP doesn't even have a phone jack anymore...

If I find anything out I'll let you know ASAP... Good Luck...

An expresscard solution is coming out next month, I can't remember who makes it, but if it is for ev-do (not edge) you'll be able to use this.

In the meantime if your phone supports it, I'd get a data cable and connect it directly via USB.

I have a verizon razr v3c, and I have ev-do plan, I just connect my razr via usb cable and use the ev-do that way.

Here is the card that should be coming out next month that DOES work for your macbook pro:
