Take it Apple before the battery gets worse.

I'm out of the country at the moment, so cannot go to a UK Apple store for 10 days. I have removed the battery and replaced it with my spare one. Under these circumstances can it wait 10 days?
A swelling battery is a dying battery. Just in case the swelling gets worse and the battery starts to leak, store it in a ziploc type plastic bag. That way you can keep it for 10 weeks if you have to.
Do not put it back in the Macbook, the swelling will almost certainly cause problems to other parts, like the trackpad and the keyboard.
Thanks a lot. I've been having occasional trouble with my trackpad and keyboard. I will keep the spare in until I can get to an Apple store to get everything checked out.
Take it to apple whenever you can. I think the batteries are 80 for removable and 130 for internal batteries.
