Imovie for iPad is not in the privacy settings

Tried importing video from camera roll into imovie but nothing is there. Been to the privacy settings but iMovie is not in the list of apps requesting photos in the privacy settings so can't turn it on to accept photos from camera roll, any ideas? Thank you very much.
