windows 8 can't recognized my ipad2

I have failed to access to my ipad2, As I forgot my passkey, I put my device in recovery mode, when I connect it to my computer (laptop and desktop) windows 8 fails to recognize the device I don't know why???????? despite itunes can easily detect my ipod and iphone very fast!!!!!!!!!!!!

As of yet, windows 8 is not yet supported.

Other users have posted the same issue with win8.

Works for some, not for others. My only suggestion would be to try another computer (different OS)

I have windows 8 and it sees my iPad. So there can be issues, but it does work.

What iTunes do you have? and what OS does your devices have on them. If your iTunes is older and your iOS' newer that can be part of the issue.

Have you tried simple fixes, plug the iPad into different USB ports, see if that triggers the install. It sounds like your computer is lacking the proper drivers for your iPad.
