i just purchased garageband for my mac. i was wondering if i could copy garageband and put it on my other windows computer

Sorry, no it will not be compatible with a Windows based computer.

I don't believe there is a Windows compatible version of GarageBand. There may be similar programs for the Windows platform that may have the ability to use the same GaragBand file format. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with any.
