MDD G4 power mac single 1GHZ processor said incompatible with dual processors

Hi, I own a MDD G4 Power Mac an was looking up for a dual processor for it, but a person on a webstore told me my machine could only recognise 1 1Ghz processor... Is this even possible??? Here´s what she says and the machine serial number:


EMC#1914

Serial: XB******N1W

Motherboard: 630T4642\630-4641


" It confirmed that your particular computer is a single processor model and not a dual model processor. As such, it can only take a 1gh single processor. The 1.25 and 1.42 were dual processor offered at the same time, but our understanding is that your logic board will not be able to read them."


Please help!

PowerMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8), G4 MDD 1Ghz single processor.

Actually I found another sticker on it on which says:


Model no: M8570

EMC No: 1914

Model number: PowerMac G4

Machine Model: PowerMac3,6

Bus Speed: 133Mhz

ROM version:4.6.0f1

etc...

I found out this is the FW 800 model (as it has a FireWire 800 door)

It´s the fourth model from the left to the right on this apple site:

http://support.apple.com/kb/ta25585


So, will it work with a Dual processor config? I mean, can I buy the processor safely?
