Take Notes on PDF in IPAD Mini?

Hello,

I've seen some threads in here that say it is possible to take notes on a PDF in Preview, but the questions seem to relate to desktops of laptops, not to Ipads. Is it possible to highlight and take notes in a PDF on an Ipad in IBooks? If so, how? If you have to use preview to do it, how do you get Preview on an Ipad?

I have an IPAD mini, IOS 6.1.3.

Thanks in advance

Joyce

There is an app called PDFPen that runs on iPad (there is also a version for Mac). PDFPen would allow you to mark up a PDF file on your iPad. It's available in the App Store.

You could learn more about PDFPen at http://www.smilesoftware.com You can also download a trial copy for your Mac there.

I have no financial or any other interest in PDFPen. However, I am a PDFPen customer (I use the Mac version, but not the iPad version).

Thanks to all who provided suggestions and to Demo in particular. Since at this point, I'm just wanting to highlight certain passages in users guides for some of my computer and music programs, I've chosen to go cheap (as in free) and with a document reader that if I do need to use more complex things, will be useful across the board for me in several different aspects. Thus, for now, I've chosen Adobe Reader, although as an FYI to everyone, there's another free app out there called PDF Reader Lite that I came across when searching the App store for your suggestions.

Have a great weekend!
