Am using iPhone 5 for a week now and having noticed the signal strength differs on iPhone 4 and iPhone 5. At any given point the signal bar on iPhone 5 shows 2-3 bars whereas in iPhone 4 it's shows full signal. Both the iPhones are running on latest iOS 6.0.2
iPhone 5 uses LTE network. Is this issue in this case.

If the iPhones are accessing different networks it is not strange that the signal strengths are different.
Its using same network
LTE is a different radio transmission network from 3G.
So is this behavior of signal strenght normal.
Yes it's normal if one phone is on 4G/LTE and the other is on 3G as the cell towers could be different, the frequencies definitely are different etc. which makes the signal strength vary.
In my case the problem is that I have a 4S and a 5S on the same network on 3G. The 4S works fine, the 5S cannot get a decent signal. Looks like the 5S radio performance is sub-standard compared to the 4S.
