WHY DVD DO NOT WORK ON WINDOWS 8

did you in bootcamp on osx made the driver disc for windows for all the apple hardware which is required if everything is to work correctly?

You have to go to Device Manager and then uninstall the SATA controller. Then restart and Windows 8 will redetect the drives including the DVD-RW. I have to do this every time Boot Camp 5 is installed.
