Nikon D60 doesn't recognized on my MacBook Pro?

I bought Nikon D60, and try to transfer photos from camera to my MacBook Pro. But it doesn't work. Camera D60 does not recognized/show up on any applications including Nikon Transfer, Image Capture, Finder. Why D60 can not be recognized on my MacBook Pro? I read some internet replies and tried their instruction a bit, and couldn't solve it.
