Server 10.6 to 10.8 upgrade
I am at the mercy of the data center for the software upgrade of the Mac Server my group uses for deployment. We are running 10.6.8 and I NEED to go to Mountain Lion. My support clients now include iOS devices.
So the system administrator says this:
I did some research and discovered that starting with 10.7, Apple has discontinued the "OS X Server" line altogether and replaced it with a "server" application that runs on top of the base OS X product. But I'm not sure how the base OS X product handles xServe hardware and things such as fibre channel HBAs and connectivity to the Vtrak Promise storage array.
Can anyone share information about how 10.8 will handle the fibre channel HBAs and connectivity to the Vtrak Promise storage array? The hardware is not that old and we still have warranty.
