The old-style Apple headphones seem to still be available through Amazon.com.

Or, you can get an "adapter" that has the remote control buttons. At Amazon.com, do a search on "iLuv iEA15 iPod Remote" to see one such product

This plugs into your shuffle, and you connect any regular headphones to the other end. You should even be able to use your new EarPods (if you still have them). They sound quite good, compared to the old Apple earbuds.
