Master Volume Quick Key for Logic?

Like to fade the master out with a key stroke or just kill it in case of emergency(feedback).

How can this be done, anyone?

Just to save on a monitor control unit ;-)

On the master Channel Strip, there's a "D" button. This brings down the volume by 20 dB (default); you can set this "Dim" value in Logic Pro>Preferences>Audio>General, to anywhere between 0 and -30 dB.

Unfortunately, it seems that this button is not user assignable... strange.

What you can do instead is use the Toggle Level of Output Channel Strips command:

Yes, strange, no key assign. Toggling volumes is halfway a solution.

Was studying on some switch in the environment but those aren't key assignable? Don't have any midi here maybe I need a simple midi-controller.

Tried almost every monitor/control app, free and paid, on the iphone and ipad but these are irreliable due to third party development and wifi troubles.

Hardware monitoring is the expensive way and is lenthening the audio chain whatever money you put in to it.

Thanks for the reply.
