When trying to email pix directly from my iPhoto account I'm getting the following error message: "Your email did not go through because the server did not reply". My mail is "sending" just fine from my Mail but won't seem to send via iPhoto? Any help?

Are you referring to iPhoto for iOS (iPhones and iPads) or iPhoto from iLive (on your Mac)?
If it's from the latter then go into iPhoto's Accounts preference pane and delete the email account. Add it back and try again.
Or select Mail as your email client in iPhoto's General preference pane. It's more reliable and versitile.
