after update my mac keeps crashing

1. first, back up your hard drive, if you can. It may be failing.
2. read Mac OS X: How to troubleshoot a software issue
3. make a new test user account.
   • start up in the test user account and see if the problem is fixed.
   • if it is fixed, then you know the problem is in your original user account
4. start up in safe mode (hold shift down while starting) and see if the problem is fixed.

   then you know that the problem is some add-on third party software in your user account.

5. start up in recovery mode (hold ⌘R down while starting)
   • use disk utility to repair your hard disk
   • use disk utility to repair your permissions
   • restart and see if the problem is fixed
6. try the disabling fonts suggestion in the article (but I've never had to do that)

Just updated my iTunes and OS... and my system keeps crashing as well. Repaired permissions and ran the disk utility.
