I cannot see last year's appointments in ical on iPad

I needed to access last year's (2012) appointments in order to make my annual report. I could see them on my iMac, but not on the iPad even though when I got the iPad I successfully transferred all those from iCloud. How can I get those old appointments on all my devices (including iPad)?

Did I tick a box I should not have ticked?
