Does the iPod connect to other networks?

Does the iPod see the network?

Any error messages?

Do other devices now connect?

Did the iPod connect before?

Try the following to rule out a software problem:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Power off and then back on the router

- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections

- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: How to back up

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Resetting the iOS worked! Thank you so much!

Today, when I tried to use the internet, it wasn't connecting (I didn't turn it off or anything, the internet just stopped working) so I accessed my wifi router and managed to fix it somehow, but my iPod Touch was still getting that message "unable to connect to network".

Then I saw that my other wifi gadgets were connecting to the wifi router normally, so I thought that my iPod had broken already. I searched everywhere for a solution and everybody said the same obvious things like "turn off the iPod or the router" or "select 'forget network'" but none of them worked.

I was ready to buy a new gadget but I tried to search for a solution a little more then I saw your advice and it worked! Thanks again!
