How do I make a new folder in Pages?

Pages can create a new folder from the Save.../Save As... dialog. By default there is a button in the toolbar with a ▲. Click this button and the dialog expands. At the bottom, you will see a button labeled, “New Folder.” You should have an idea where you want this new folder to be placed.

There is no mechanism within Pages that will permit folder deletion. That is the purview of the Finder.

The simplest way to remove a folder is to drag it to the Trash (and empty the Trash). You should be absolutely certain that the folder contents are expendable or archived before you do this.

The alternative method is to control-click the folder destined for removal. A contextual menu will appear. Choose the “Move to Trash” menu item.

When you go Open or Save there is a New Folder button in the bottom left corner of the dialog box.

Or hit command shift n to get the same thing inside the dialog box.

To delete folders go to Finder and drag it to the Trash or select it and hit command delete

I have 3rd party utilities Default Folder and Xtra Finder [free] installed, one of which lets me also delete the Folder in the dialog boxes amongst many other features.
