outgoing facetime video is pink

In every video chat program I use, whether it is Facetime, Skype, or Google Hangout, and even in Photo Booth, the images that from my side of the conversation have a deep pink cast to them. The incoming images appear normal. I assume this is a problem with the built-in video camera.

Is there a setting somewhere I need to change? Or is this an issue that has to be addressed in repair? Or what?

I apologize if I am duplicating a thread, but I couldn't find a discussion of this issue anywhere on the board. I will appreciate any help you might give me. Thanks.

I am using a MacBook Pro, 15-inch, Mid 2012, no retina display, running OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3) with 4GB RAM
