Hello all,
I really need you help. I try my best to work this error out but without any luck. I downloaded most versions of xcode file but when opening the dmg file. i got a dialog box with the following message and reason for all:
The following Disk Images couldn't be open:
Image Reason
the name of dmg for input/output error
exode
Please help me as I am really in need of xcode. My OS X 10.7.5.

Different versions of Xcode?
If you download from the Mac App Store you only get the latest version. Once it downloads it installs automatically (like any app) in /Applications.
Perhaps you should explain what it is you are doing.
The page I download the file of diff versions is this one https://developer.apple.com/downloads/index.action
Should it be that one ? or I am doing something wrong?

Just get it from the Mac App Store
Were did you download the dmg from? You can get it from the Mac App store.

Try downloading again.
I did and with different versions of xcode and the same exact error message pops up when opening the .dmg file.
I already did but I got a message in the middle of the download that the application couldn't be downloaded, I now re-install it again, what do u think the problem is ?
