Well, I'd say the sky's the limit.

I would try the other method.

No, I tried that, it didn't work.

Hmm, the third method is risky, but possible.

I gather that you're having a problem with Java. Knowing nothing else, all I can suggest is that you install the latest Java web plugin from java.com. It's risky to use, so enable it in your browser only when necessary.
Sorry, this doesn't work:
"If, after installing Java for OS X 2013-002 and the latest version of Java 7 from Oracle, you want to disable Java 7 and re-enable the Apple-provided Java SE 6 web plug-in and Web Start functionality, follow these steps.
Note: You must be logged in as an administrator. If prompted for your administrator password after a command, enter it and then press the Return or Enter key.
Open Terminal, located in the Utilities folder.
Enter this command, then press the Return or Enter key:
sudo mkdir -p /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/disabled
Enter this command, then press the Return or Enter key:
sudo mv /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/disabled
Enter this command, then press the Return or Enter key:
sudo ln -sf /System/Library/Java/Support/Deploy.bundle/Contents/Resources/JavaPlugin2_NPAPI .plugin /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin
To re-enable Java SE 6 Web Start, enter this command, then press the Return or Enter key:
sudo ln -sf /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Commands/javaws /usr/bin/javaws"
OK, so what happens when you take those steps, and how is it different from what you expect?
I'm trying to access https://rzb.fx.com/client.html and that's why i need a downgrade to java 1.6. I took those steps but still no downgrade.
Thanks
What is shown as your Java version on this page:
Java SE 7 Update 17 / Mac OS X 10.8.3 / Java Arhitecture 64-bit
Quit and relaunch your browser, if you haven't already done so. If you get the same result, then you haven't followed the instructions. The first two steps would disable the Oracle Jave plugin. Maybe you should get someone more experienced to help you. Making a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store is one option.
How on earth did this thread end up in an iWeb forum? Totally the wrong place!!!
I don't know but Linc certainly is a mind reader as far as this topic is concerned. So much so it's a little bit scary. 🙂
OT
Well, there IS the clue to what it's about from the Knowledge Base article reference:
HT5559: Java for OS X 2013-002: How to re-enable the Apple-provided Java SE 6 web plug-in and Web Start functionality.
It didn't exactly take a crystal ball to figure it out.
