UI Automation --> .plist file recording timestamp value in GMT instead of EDT

Whenever I execute a UI automated script in Instruments, I save the trace where the execution results are present. The name of the file is "Automation Results.plist", which Instruments automatically creates and updates based on test execution. The node in "dict/array/dict/date" is always populated with a GMT timestamp even though the timezone set on my MAC is EDT. Is there a way that this can be changed to reflect the actual EDT time? I checked all "Preferences" in Instruments but couldn't find anything.

XCode, Apple Instruments-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.7)
