Unable to get music to my mini. Went to iTunes and tried to download previously purchased songs, hit the iCloud download icon, song appeared to download but did not.

A commonly overlooked step is to check the Sync Music checkbox under the Music pane in iTunes. See step 3 in the article below...
Still didn't work. When I start the sync, the bar at the bottom reflects how much space is being used, though once the sync is completed, all space to be taken by music disappears. Don't know what's up. I have an itouch and don't have this problem nor have I ever had this problem.
