I am unable to delete applications on my iPhone 4S. When I press on the app and all the apps "wiggle" the apps do not have the "X" that you would normally depress to delete the application(s). Any suggestions for another way to delete applications?

Are these apps either in the middle of installing, or apps that came with the iPhone?

do the soft reset:

hold Home and Sleepwake buttons at the same time, keep holding until you see the white Apple logo appear, then let go and let it start fully.

If there is No 'X' on any apps you have Downloaded... then check in Restrictions... Settings > General > Restrictions > Deleting Apps = Off / On
