can one time capsule be used to backup tow iMacs on the same network?

Can one time machine be used to backup two iMacs?

iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities


You can use a Time Capsule or an external drive to make Time Machine backups of as many Macs as you want, always that there's enough space in the Time Capsule to make them. To do this, just go to System Preferences > Time Machine > Select Disk, and choose the Time Capsule, so both iMacs will start backing up into your Time Capsule
