iPhone 5 camera blurry after update??

Im having the same issue, only the problems have been present since shortly after I bought my 5 on release day. Its extremely frustrating, especially when you have a son that your trying to take pics of on Easter and not one photo looks good.

Same for my iPhone5. Talk about frustrating. These guys at Apple need to release another update, and quick. iOS 6.1.3 as well. #Lame

Does the front camera also take blurry pictures? I updated my iphone as soon as i got it and the camera was fine but all of a sudden the back camera is taking blurry pictures. The front camera is taking proper pictures. Will try to reinstall ios and see if it helps.

This may sound stupid but i read in another thread users having the same issue. They suggested to hit the iphone face down, I tried it by hitting itface down on my palm and surprise surprise it works 😀 😀 😀. The pictures are sharp as before not blurry anymore.

Backing up my phone to iCloud and doing a factory reset on my phone, fixed the blurry camera issue. Not sure what caused it. Even after the phone was fully restored, the camera still works great. This nonsense of "smacking" the phone probably originated from a bunch of Droid users, and is utter nonsense. Seriously guys...think before you start smacking a $400+ phone around.

Same problem and im reading all these things about hitting the phone face down and thinking "that's dumb that not gonna work" I tried it and sure enough the pictures are fine now, that's awesome

I have the same problem and I suspect it was after the update, before all is well. Now iPhone 5 camera won't focus and take blurry photos ( Especially for long distances)

I've had to reset and restore my phone completely and the problem persists, I have iOS6.1.4

I am very concerned if hadware or software problem

I am having same problem. I have this issue after update. Resetting did not work in my case. I am wondering how much it will cost to fix camera. Is there any way to do factory reset?

Totally worked for me 2! Wow! Now if only If there was an app to turn back time so I could have taken pictures at my graduation!

I have the same problem . Tried everything . Reset , clean lens, smaking face down , none work . My iphone is Eligable for the sleep/awake problem program . But my sleep/awake button works . I dont know if they will fix my iphone 5 camera issue . Here is the link you anyone want to try the sleep awake program .

Apple should do something . Look like alot of people has this back camera problem . I am big fun of apple . But now very very disapointed .
