Mainstage is invisible, I cannot find the application once I've downloaded it. Please help!

To whom it may concern,

I purchased the Logic Pro Studio through the app store about a week and half ago. Once Logic Pro was downloaded, I was notified that I could download various 'Additional Content'. One of the items I was permitted to download, was Mainstage. And so, I continued downloading this application, through Logic Pro. After the download of Mainstage had completed, I began my search for the application. on the hard-drive. I've searched the entire hard-drive and cannot see the application Mainstage anywhere. Some of the Mac-related-blogs recommend re-downloading the application if the user is having trouble. Following this advise, I have downloaded this application four times now, each time without any further success. Please help, this is very frustrating!

Hi

Logic "Studio" is not available on the AppStore: only Logic Pro (with Mainstage, Compressor etc available as separate purchases).

If you bought Logic Pro, you will also need to purchase MainStage (if you want it).

Thanks for the info. I've bought Logic Pro. I'm not suggesting that you are wrong, but why, on Logic Pro, does it give me the option to 'Download Additional Content' if it were not included in my purchase?

Hi

The "additional content" is exactly that, including JamPacks of loops and samples, Logic's massive library of samples for EXS24 and Ultrabeat, Impulse Response files etc.

The downloadable "additional content" does NOT include applications that, though once part of the DVD Logic Studio, are now sold separately via the AppStore.

MainStage 2.2 was (and is) a paid update for those who originally purchased the 'boxed Logic Studio" as well.

Compressor is now available separately.

Waveburner and SoundTrack Pro have been discontinued.

So if I try downloading Mainstage through Logic Pro (without making any purchase on the AppStore), it will be unsuccessful.

Will the Jam Pack items (on the 'Download Additional Content' option) download successfully through Logic Pro, or are these items requiring purchase?

You CANNOT download MainStage via Logic Pro. It is a separate purchase on the AppStore:

Correct. You can buy and download MainStage for $29.99.

Once installed, launch MainStage and click on "MainStage>Download Additional Content" from the menu bar. A window will pop up showing you all the Jam Packs and other content that you will now be able to download. This additional content is included in the $29.99 price with no further charge.

i see thank you sooo much!!! mainstage is gonna be great.. what's the best midi interface for mainstage ( i use a roland juno-stage and mottiff)
