Is it possible to make a direct connection via WiFi to my new epson L355 but without a router?
I´m using a PowerBook G4 1.67 GHz with 2GB RAM and Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.8

Do you mean an ad-hoc connection between your PowerBook and your printer?
I´m not sure about that but if it´s a direct connection to to the rpinter without a router I would say that is what I´m trying to do
According to the User's Guide, page 101, yes, it is possible.

You must turn on Wi-Fi on the PowerBook.
Select Create Network...
Choose Network name, Channel and security. Confirm.
Follow the procedure to join the printer to your new personal Wi-Fi network.
I´ve created the network but nothing happens when I push the wifi button on the epson printer. The wifi led keeps blinking in orange so I dont know what else should I do.
You can try the other way around.
Do not create the network on the Mac, but when you press the WiFi button on the printer, look for the printer's SSID inside the list of AirPort Express menu.
I´ve just tried that but I don´t have an AirPort Express. I´ve opened both AirPort Utility and the AirPort Menu but nothing shows up. I have AirPort Utility 5.6.1 and it seems to be the last version for Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.8.
