iTunes 6.0.4.2 and Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-109 won't cooperate

While running iTunes 6.0.4.2 on my Windows XP x64 machine, iTunes does not recognize my Pioneer DVR-109 CD burner.

Yes, I have update the burner's firmware to the newest level.
Yes, I have added the line 'PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-109' in the appropriate place in C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes\CD Configuration\gcdroem.cfg.
Yes, I did include two spaces between DVD-RW and DVR-109.

This is very, very frustrating. Please help.

Well I understand your pain, but microsoft and everyone is SLOWLY switching to 64bit. Id say by the time Vista comes out in January 07 apple will have some basic support for 64 bit built into its program. Im not that mac savy but I believe the mac already operates on a 64 bit apple OS and Vista will support 64 bit so apple will have to switch iTUnes to it sooner or later on the PC side most likly in iTunes 7.0 but we will wait and see til then
