All kinds of different colors on my screen like i can't see what song plain

hi i have a 20 gb ipod that i bought about a year ago i think and for the past 3 or 4 weeks the songs and everything would play if i found them but i can't see anything on the screen i didn't know if this would take under warrenty or what if i could even find it but all i can see on the screen is a patch of all different colors don't know what happend could use some help bc it cost me 300 and now im broke 😟
