Apr 1, 2013 9:10 AM in response to flemmingLby John Galt,I hear about this from time to time and have never been able to duplicate it myself. People have reported success by reinstalling Lion from the Recovery partition, though that seems like overkill to me.
Before you go to that extreme try applying just the OS X 10.7.5 "Combo" update here: OS X Lion Update 10.7.5 (Client Combo).
Then download and attempt to install AirPort Utility 5.6 again.
If that does not work you could always reinstall Lion. Doing so does not erase your user accounts or data.
Then update your profile, because it still indicates Mac OS X 10.7.2 and if that is actually what you have it's outdated.

Apr 3, 2013 7:42 AM in response to flemmingLby John Galt,You reinstalled Lion and you are still unable to install AirPort Utility 5.6?
What is the exact wording of the error you see? Is it the same as on this thread: airport utility install fails?
