How do I listen to podcasts while using Nike + iPod?

I used to listen to my podcasts while running with Nike + iPod. Since iOS 6 I can't. If I try to run with the option "Now playing", as I did with iOS 5, and it is a podcast that it is playing it goes silent. Is there a way around this problem?
