ebook app rejected

I made a customized ebook app. This free ebook app is purely text with some ads installed. I was informed by support that I can make ebook apps. I was aware of iBooks but I see some free books and ebook reader in the app store(They should have not allowed ebook reader if they are not allowing to make customized ebook apps). I still made the ebook app. I got rejected. I am looking for ways to make it approved so it won't be a waste of time and money. Any suggestions and solutions to this?

Did you make an iOS app for the app store and now want to convert this to something for the iBookstore?

If you made an app and now want to make an .epub format ebook, then the Apple app for that is Pages.

If you want to make a multi-touch .ibooks format ebook (these can only be read on an iPad), the Apple app for that is iBooks Author.

Thanks Tom,

Actually I don't want to be in the iBookstore. That's the problem. I want to create my own ebook app. I made it to be free with ads on it. I customized the app so it can be free and it will be monetized by friendly ads. I think that's what Apple is frowning about. I am looking for a solution but there seems none. Thanks for your time!

Since these forums are for people creating for the iBookstore, you are not likely to find any help here. I suggest you try the forums for app developers

I am no expert on the topic, but I think I have seen reports elsewhere that (regardless of what may have been accepted in the past), Apple is definitely not interested in apps which are really just text or webpages, and wary about apps or ebooks which seek to make money via ads
