When I click on Baseball game in MLB.TV I'm sent back to apple main menu. How do I fix this?

I was able to fix it...sorta. I did a factory reset, and am now able to watch the home feed of live games but not the away feed. Attempting to access the away feed causes the Apple TV to go back to the main screen as described above.

I put this in over at the MLB TV help forum. They didn't know, and put a ticket in to the devs.

I finally fixed the issue,by restting apple tv store (not reset but restore)

On Apple TV, choose Settings > General > Reset, and then click Restore.

Your Apple TV will restore to its factory settings, and will also download and install the latest Apple TV software update. This process may take some time. Do not disconnect your Apple TV's power cable during the restore process.

sure. FYI, not sure of this is your case, but I also discovered that in order to view MLBtv on Apple tv I had to subscribe to the Premium level of mlb tv. This was pain staking research but relaized that you can't use a regular MLB tv subscripotion with Apple tv. Once I updated my subscritption, I had to then reset Apple tv again so it could recognize my new subscription status.

Yes, I realized that when I tried to view from my ipad/phone. I think this is a 2013 development, because I have never purchased the premium before, yet have always been able to watch from other devices.

That is very interesting! I couldn't get support help from Apple or MLB.tv (they kept referring me to each other - not helpful!). I tried re-setting, re-starting, etc, but no luck. I finally broke down and bought a new subscription - even though I'd bought a 1 year subscription last year (in August) and was using my AppleTV to watch games with that subscription last year. It's when I tried to watch the new season that I had trouble.

If I ever do get an update from Apple or MLB.tv that's useful, I'll post it back here - but I am not hopeful 🙂

I was very annoyed, and managed to get in contact with someone at MLB.tv. All she did was read from the current MLB.tv's subscritiption page, which does seem to indicate that a premium membership is required. So, I too, broke down and bought the premium. "It's only 5 dollars more..."

I am having the exact same problem on my AppleTV 3. I can play archived games just fine. It only reboots when I try to access live games.

I'm having the same issue, have you been able to resolve this? It's making me crazy and annoyed!

I am having the same issue. I seect a game and the system boots me out to the main menu. I can view mlb.tv on my laptop but not from my Apple.Tv.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ugh. Ok, just tried to watch a game post-Restore, and same problem - back to home menu.

Did you do RESET or RESTORE? You have to do a full RESET.

Oh, i thought you specifically said to do a restore, and not a reset.
