I was wondering if the apple ipad battery replacement plan is still in effect for Ipad 1?
I'm in canada and a ipad im recieving maybe on its last legs battery wise, its 3 years old and am thinking about paying the 105$ or w/e it cost for canadians, but i need to find out if ipad 1 is still being exchanged.

I don't think it matter which model of iPad that you have, if the battery needs to be replaced, then its eligible for an out of warranty replacement.

Yes it can. I recently sent mine in for repair and I just received confirmation that it is being replaced.
Just curious, did you receive your replacement iPad? Was it an iPad 1 or a newer model?

It will be the same model unit that was shipped to Apple.
Yes, I received a replacement ipad that is exactly the same model, however this one seems brand new, they seem to do a good job with refurbishing their ipads. I am very happy, and it took less than a week. If your battery is getting old or not holding a charge I would recomend this.
