Cloud won't let me download previously purchased movies? They are greyed out as if the cloud and iTunes think the movie is still on the iPad. I've tried a hard reboot. I've tried taking all movies on and off. I've tried restoring the iPad. Nothing seems to be working?!?

You must be singed into the Apple ID you used to purchase the movie. Also, not all movies can be redownloaded. It must be permitted in your country (see country list for Movies here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5085), and also must be permitted by the movie studio (not all studios permit redownloading). You would have to contact iTunes store support to find out for sure: http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html.
Thanks. My wife and I share the same account. She can download them fine on her 3rd gen iPad. I can't on my first gen iPad. I was thinking it has something to do with the new os. We're in California. I guess I can try and take it into an Apple store to see if they can help.

My wife figured it out! I had the age restrictions turned on that was preventing downloading of the movies. That's what I get for trying to be a good parent. I would think it would ask for the password when you tried to download!

Had the same problem and called AppleCare. Even though Restrictions were set to Off, they had me toggle them On, then back Off. This worked and now I can download my purchased movies to my iPad!
