Q: I cant get my Mac Book to connect to my Apple tv

AirPlay mirroring requires OX X Mountain Lion and works on Macs that meet these requirements:

Have you double checked to make sure your Mac is supported?

It needs to be a MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer).

mine is MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) its there in the chart but im having truble merring my desktop to Apple Tv?

Disconnect ur router and then back on its might have issues not reconized,just unplug cable on router and put back and let see how u goes.

i have done it so many times but the issue is from my mackbook, even i tried it on my friend apple tv its not either !!!

You need to put system perferences.plist to the trash......go to find finder... top menu click go then click go to folder type this words in box exactly    ~/libarary/perferences click go, find the lists say   com.apple.systemperferences.plist drag this to the trash then u click restart in apple icon ,once this done u do ur settings in ur system perferences and this should bring back ur missing option which i believe in display show mirroring options in the menu bar when avail. .....  all the best

If you´ve already verified if your Mac is able to connect to Airplay (note, Mountain Lion is not the point, but your Hardware is)

try to note this?

1. both are connected through the same wifi?

2. you´ve entered the Apple TV with the same Home Sharing (Apple ID) active?

* I mean, both Mac and Apple TV must be configured with the same Apple ID, and Home Sharing should be turned on in your iTunes.
