Please explain how to gift an app that doesn't require buying an itunes credit for that amount. I just want to pay for it and have the recipient click an email link or something the way you can gift a kindle book. I have a Mac Air runnin 10.8.3, an iphone with iOS 6.1 .3 and one recipient has an ipad and the other an older ipod touch. I'd like to use one of these to send the app gift.
To my knowledge, that can't be done. A gift card is the only way that I know to do this.
Note: When purchasing an iTunes Gift, a valid credit card must be on file; you cannot purchase an iTunes Gift with store credit. Purchased gifts cannot be redeemed outside of the country of purchase.
