when i plug my iphone into my computer it constanely backs up

not sure if it my computer, iphone chord or just my iphone in general because no matter what i do when i plug in my phone it will just constanely say backing up and will never change. it might even be my itunes not being installed properly but i dontloaded it off apple so im not sure and i need help please
