I was going through the steps of setting up my new imac and went ahead with migration from my other computer. It created a new user. Now I have 2 users.
What is the best way to get all my files, music, photos applications ect to the new user?
Or can I ditch the new user and go about it differently to have it import all my old computer to the main user?

The easiest option may be to erase the disk, reinstall OS X, and start over.
This time elect to transfer information from the other computer, before creating a user account.

Usually, the best way to do that is with Setup Assistant, when your new Mac first starts up. The alternative, Migration Assistant, can be used later, but there are some downsides to waiting.
One downside is creation of the second User account, as you now know.
The crazy thing is I just started it up brand new and followed the set up assistant and it went to migration assistant. I was just following all the steps. I did not do anything else.
How can i reinstall the OSX? It comes installed with no disks now.
Open the Users folder, drag either account's home folder to the other account's desktop, provide your administrator password when prompted, and then move the files inside to the desired locations.

Log out of your current account. Log into the migrated account. Delete the other account.

How do you delete the admin account?

Works Ok for documents but not for installed Applications like Font management and Adobe CS, or iphoto.
am I missing something?

You have to change the new user to an admin account as well. Then restart, log into the new user and then you can delete the original user so the migrated user becomes the only one.

I have the same problem, I pressed unlock at the left most bottom in the user & group then delete the new account when login in using the old account.
Migration assistant It created a whole new user.
