Forgot mac mail password?

Forgot mac mail password?

I recently thought I would try the mail program that came with my mac. But it seems I forgot the password. I havent loaded this program up in over a year. Is it possible to somehow recover my password?

The mail program (Mail Application) that came with your Mac will not require a password unless you intend to purchase and use .Mac.

If you know your .Mac ID, but not your password...Enter your .Mac ID (membername@mac.com) in this link: If you have forgotten your password, please provide the following information.

If you cannot remember your .Mac ID there are Free Trial and Join Now buttons on .mac.

the only password would be the one for your email account, there is no password for the program.

whatever password your account you have still been using would be the same. if you still cannot remember this it can be viewed in the keychain access utility (accessories>utilities).

Open Keychain Access and locate the entry for your mail program
Press the i in the lower left corner, set option to view password details.
