Can anyone help me? I dragged a song into garageband, like i always do, this mp3 is about 5:00 minutes long, but when i dragged it into garageband it only shows 1:35 minutes. A friend sad that maybe it is the hight of the bitrate. Please help.

Have you changed the tempo of your project after adding the song? Then the duration of the song may change, if "Follow tempo and Pitch" is enabled for the track.

What happens if you play the track in GB? Does it sound normal? Does it stop abruptly after 1:35? Can you drag out the region to make it longer (by putting the cursor on the right end of it?)

I didn't edit it. Just dragged in the mp3 like i always do. And then played it.
I asked the guy who always sends me the mp3 's to send it again, to make sure it wasn't the mp3 that had some problems, but it happened the same.

The track sounds fine and it stops abruptly after 1:35.
I tried to drag out the region, but it can't be dragged out. The "drag out" symbol doesn't show. So in other words, it's all dragged out.
