Boot Camp is on your machine from new, no download needed. Are you talking about the Support Software (Windows drivers?)
Look in Applications>Utilities for Boot Camp Assistant.
Back up your machine before you start.
I have gone through boot camp assistant and checked the download box to download the support software but and saved it on a usb for later but Everytime I go to install windows 7 (but I want 8) it doesn't work..
Are you installing Windows from a USB drive or an external DVD?
Installing from a DVD I burnt it from an ISO Image.
Did you burn it on the Air, at the lowest speed?
What is happening when you try to install it, what error messages do you see.
i burnt it from a PC because i didnt have a drive until yesterday for my Air.
The error message that comes up says that i can only install windows 7 insert a full windows 7 dvd
I've seen tutorials on youtube and they have the same boxes with the same descriptions as me that say its only for 7, but it still manages to install windows 8... I dont know what im doing wrong.
What manages to install 8, and what does that have to do with your issue, I'm confused.
